STEPS ON GETTING STARTED

STEP 1

Define the herd for which records will be entered.

Select Setup> Herd

Type in a Herd ID for your records. Give this some thought as you will not be able to change or edit the Herd ID in the future without re-entering all of your performance records.

Type in your farm or ranch description, name, address, city, etc.

To import CHAPS III records: Import > Dos to Windows Conversion.

The Herd ID will need to remain the same as with CHAPS III.

For complete DOS/Windows conversion instructions, refer to the IMPORT section of the CHAPS Help menu or contact NDBCIA at 483-2348 Ext. 105.
