Click on Utilities on the Main Menu.

UPDATE NOTES: Click on Utilities on the Main Menu
and choose Update Notes.

drop box appears with three options.
1) Calves
2) Cows
3) Sires
CALVES: This report
allows the user to update and add notes on calves within the time frame entered.
The user has the option of changing the default herd.

Select Misc., Bulls, Heifers, or Steers to reveal the
desired calf listing.

A Calf ID scroll box allows the user to make a selection
by clicking the ID.

Select the report from the upper right box with the down
arrow.
-
The "Tag All" button will select all the ID’s
in the scroll box.
-
The "Untag All" button removes the highlighted
ID’s.
-
The Starting Birthdate and Ending Birthdate must be entered
manually for the appropriate date range.
-
Place the cursor in the lower right box to enter notes.
-
Click "Update" to send the notes.
COWS: This report
allows the user to update and add notes on cows for the time frame listed.
The user has the option of changing the default herd.

"Active" is the default listing status.

A Cow ID scroll box allows the user to make a selection
by clicking the ID.

The "Tag All" button will select all the ID’s
in the scroll box.

The "Untag All" button removes the highlighted

Select the report that the notes are being sent to (either
Profile or Breeding) from the box next to the date.

Place the cursor in the lower right box to enter notes.

Click "Update" to send the notes.
SIRES: This
report allows the user to update and add notes on sires. The user has the option of changing the default
herd.

DATABASE: Click on Utilities
in the Main Menu and choose Database.

A drop box appears with four options.
The first three options cannot be accessed without a password.

COPY
DATA:
Occasionally you may want to copy your CHAPS data either to disk
as a backup or to the hard drive on your computer. A "Copy Data" option
is available in the newest update of your CHAPS software.
Click on Utilities
from the menu at the top of the screen. Choose Copy Data. A screen similar
to the one below will appear.

If
you know where you want to copy you data to, fill in the directory location in
the Copy Database To: field. If you are not sure of the location, click on Browse
to find the file. A screen similar to the one below will appear.
If
you want to save to a disk, click on the down arrow located under the X (upper
right-hand corner) and locate your floppy drive. If you want to save the file
to your computer's hard drive, maneuver through the directory to find the correct
file.
Click on OK once you have located the correct location.
