Step 1:

Access the WinZip web site at http://www.winzip.com.

Step 2:

Click on New Version Click Here for WinZip 8.1 to begin download.

Step 3:

Click on WinZip 8.1 Evaluation Version.

Step 4:

The next page is the download page. Your browser will automatically bring up download screens. Please note that this may take a few seconds to come up so be patient. The first screen will ask what you want to do with the file you are about to download. Click on the Save button.

Step 5:

The next screen will ask where you want to save the WinZip program installation file. It will default to you My Documents folder. You will have to remember where it is saved when it comes time to perform the installation onto your hard drive. Click on Save to save in the default folder of My Documents.

Step 6:

The download will now proceed. The download speed will vary depending on your online connection. Once the download is complete, click Open to start the installation to your hard drive.

Step 7:

The screen below will now appear. Cick on Setup to continue with installation.

Step 8:

The installation is set to install to C:\Program Files\WinZip by default. Choose OK unless you want the program to be installed in a different directory.

Step 9:

Click Next on the next screen to continue.

Step 10:

Click Yes to agree to the license agreement.

Step 11:

Click Next on the next screen to continue.

Step 12:

Make sure Start with the WinZip Wizard is selected as shown below. Then Click Next to proceed with installation.

Step 13:

Click Next on the next screen to perform a search of your hard drive for WinZip files.

Step 14:

Click Next on the next screen to continue.

Step 15:

Click Next on the next screen to finish the install.

Step 16:

Click Close on the next screen to close setup. WinZip is now installed on your hard drive.
